Boutique law school admissions consulting

A stronger application begins with a more serious answer to why law.

We help you develop that answer, then translate it into a distinctive, persuasive application that gives law schools a reason to choose you.

Our core philosophy

The application is the outcome. The understanding comes first.

Most applicants begin with an explanation of why law that is sincere but incomplete. They assume the answer already exists and their job is simply to write it down convincingly. We do not.

Our work begins by asking what the applicant has encountered, what about it held their attention, and what they still do not fully understand. Through sustained conversation, targeted questions, and repeated drafting, we help applicants develop a clearer and more intellectually serious account of why they have chosen this profession.

A better application should be the byproduct of a more serious understanding of the decision you are making.

That understanding cannot be manufactured. Once it is real, however, it strengthens everything that follows: the personal statement, optional essays, school strategy, interviews, and the decisions applicants make after admission.

How we work

We do not begin with the draft.

01

We diagnose the candidacy.

We read the record as an admissions committee might and identify the strengths, concerns, and unanswered questions that should shape the application.

02

We develop the thinking beneath the application.

We question the easy answer and identify the experiences, ideas, and unresolved questions that reveal a genuine intellectual engagement with law.

03

We turn that understanding into one complete case.

Every component has a purpose. The documents add to one another and present a coherent reason to admit the applicant without forcing a manufactured narrative.

The personal statement

The reader should see a mind at work.

A strong personal statement does not merely describe the applicant or recount an impressive event. It shows the applicant encountering a serious question, working through complexity, and arriving at a more developed understanding.

For many applicants, the most valuable question is why law: not simply which field they hope to practice, but what they have encountered that makes legal thinking or legal work genuinely compelling to them. The essay must demonstrate that interest rather than proclaim it.

Not every personal statement should answer why law directly. But by the end of our work, every applicant should be able to answer it with substance and specificity. We then decide where that understanding belongs in the application.

Boutique by design

Your application is not handed from a strategist to a junior editor.

We accept a limited number of applicants because the same consultant remains responsible for understanding the candidate, developing the strategy, and reviewing the work throughout the cycle.

This is candid, collaborative work. We will tell you when a topic is weak, an essay is not adding anything, or a school strategy is poorly calibrated. We also will not take on an applicant unless we believe close work can materially improve the application.

Common questions

Before we speak

Do I need a draft before beginning?

No. It is often better to begin before choosing a topic so the application strategy can guide what you write.

Are optional essays included?

Yes, when they can strengthen the application. We do not recommend submitting additional material merely because a prompt exists.

Who will I work with?

You will work directly with a senior consultant. All consultants are T6 graduates, former BigLaw associates, and professionals with at least eight years of experience.

What happens during the consultation?

We discuss your record, what is drawing you toward law, your target schools, and the central questions your application may need to answer. It is also an opportunity for both sides to assess fit.

Complimentary diagnostic consultation

Start with a serious conversation about why law and your candidacy.

We reserve up to two hours to understand your background, what is drawing you toward law, where you are in the process, and what the application may need to accomplish. There is no charge and no commitment to enroll.

  1. Send a brief consultation request.
  2. We will confirm a time and send three short questions.
  3. We will discuss the direction of your application and whether the fit makes sense.
